We Are Thankful: 2021 Edition

“There is always, always, always something to be thankful for.”
– Anonymous

2021 has been another interesting year of challenges and change. But as with each year, we celebrate the many blessings and good things that have happened.

ECS celebrated our 8th anniversary in 2021 (yes, we are incredibly grateful for this!) and our team, as in previous years, would like to share our personal thanks for all the good things that have happened over the past 12 months.

Happy Thanksgiving from our entire team!

I am extremely thankful for vaccines and all those amazing scientists that worked so hard to create them.  It has allowed my family and me to get back to the things that we love like visiting with friends and family, attending sporting events/concerts and taking family vacations, ie-making memories together.  My youngest two children received their first shot this week and I am so grateful and hopeful.  I am also grateful for my amazing co-workers at ECS and clients that I have the privilege to serve.

I’m thankful for this door that is open to friends and family and the many memories that have been created just beyond the door. This door leads to my home and home office. Kim Julian on a walk with her pup!

I am so thankful this year I could go on all day! I lost my Mom suddenly a year ago just before Thanksgiving, and the amount of love that has been poured into our family because of that loss has brought more thankfulness than I have ever known possible.

I am thankful that what started as a challenging year has turned out so beautifully.  My daughter is healthy and excited about college next year, and I’ve embarked on a new adventure as an independent consultant.  I love that this new adventure exposes me to so many different clients and industries, each with its own unique challenges.  I’m enjoying tapping into my 30+ (I’m going to stop counting!) years of experience in a way that’s meaningful.  And oh … the flexibility allows enjoy me to enjoy spontaneous moments with loved ones and nature (including failed salad growing).

This year has been full of family, friendships, horses, dogs, cats, and beautiful lessons learned each day that make me a better person than I was the day before.  That’s what I’m thankful for.

The family of Dave Posten.

This time of year is very special for my family as we have a number of folks that are not with us anymore that counted this time as their favorite.  I am thankful to have known those people and been enriched by their wisdom and love. I am also deeply thankful for those loved ones that we are still fortunate enough to have in our lives.

I will forever be thankful for the men and women that sacrificed so much so that we could live in peace and freedom. I’m thankful for the moms, dads, spouses and siblings that stayed at home and endured countless sleepless nights so that we all could sleep better each night.  I’m thankful for my wife and children who make me a better person every day.
